Animate Possibility advances 2N’s mission to shift the culture around fostering from isolation and difficulty to belonging and shared responsibility.

Animate Possibility, an immersive workshop, is a 2N collaboration with The Righteous Conversations Project where system-impacted youth and their allies transform lived experience into art. Through storytelling, these young artists illustrate truth, resilience, and possibility. This project is not only about creating—it’s also about healing, connecting, and helping children thrive within the love and strength of community.

SHE IS US: THE STORY OF JUDGE SONGHAI ARMSTEAD is an animated film that chronicles the extraordinary story of social justice warrior Songhai Armstead who was system impacted, faced brutal obstacles as a young adult, and finally found healing and purpose in empowering others. After a traumatic childhood in and out of foster care, Songhai embarks on a remarkable journey to create justice, care and opportunity for system impacted individuals in her city.

We are proud to announce that She Is Us WON best documentary out of the 8 Finalist Films selected for the 2025 Emerging Filmmaker Short Films Showcase during the Cannes Film Festival on Wednesday, May 21st at The American Pavilion

Since 1989, The American Pavilion has offered unparalleled experiences in Cannes to film students and emerging filmmakers from around the world. AmPav’s Emerging Filmmaker Showcase provides an opportunity for filmmakers to have their works seen by Cannes Festival attendees. Each of the five categories of exceptional and diverse 2025 films (Emerging Filmmaker Showcase, LGBTQ+ Showcase, Student showcase, Emerging Documentaries and Student Documentaries) will be showcased to American Pavilion audiences followed by a live filmmaker Q&A.

Emerging showcase category winners will be chosen by a jury that includes agents, managers, producers, industry members, and a team from Gold House, the leading cultural nonprofit that brings together and invests in Asian Pacific creators and companies. Gold House will again present the inaugural Cultural Impact award to a filmmaker across the showcase’s categories whose work exemplifies excellence in multicultural narratives or underrepresented perspectives.
